It’s official: the former Willand Rovers captain commits to ‘The Bucks’ for 2024/25.
Adam Hill has committed his future to Buckland Athletic for the 2024/2025 season.
The 32-year-old spent last season at Okehampton Argyle, joining them following the departure of Myles James to Homers Heath in October 2023. Previously, Adam had represented Willand Rovers, Barnstaple Town & Bideford AFC.
The 6”3 Cornish-born central defender spent his first steps in senior football in the South West Peninsula league with Dobwalls, before a move into Devon. Here, Adam became a stalwart at Willand Rovers, appearing almost 250 times and winning the Western League title. In subsequent years he has also appeared for Barnstaple Town and Bideford AFC before arriving at The VX3 Stadium, Homers Heath.
Head Coach Dan Hart said: “Adam is a player well known in the region, he’s a solid defender who has good presence and is very patient and precise with the ball too. We have lost some height in the group over the summer and aerial ability, so we needed to look at that situation and with the additions of Adam and Rafael I feel very confident about our abilities to progress up the pitch in the build phase and protect spaces in transition.”
“He’s a class act on and off the pitch, and will be someone who is very well liked at the football club, for sure.”
Everyone at the club is delighted to welcome Adam and his family and you can catch him tonight in our friendly versus Torquay United.
