Benjamin Fowles, welcome to The VX3 Stadium – Homers Heath.

Benjamin Fowles has committed to Buckland Athletic for the remainder of the 2024/2025 season, following his move from Tavistock AFC.

The 23-year-old midfield player is welcomed to The VX3 Stadium after departing the Lambs, where he had been for over two seasons.

Ben was a highly-regarded and talented member of the Dorchester U23’s squad before moving to Devon back in 2021 and joining Tavistock. He has also spent a brief spell on loan at Saltash United.

Head Coach, Dan Hart said: “I’m very excited to have added Ben to our squad here at The VX3 Stadium – Homers Heath. He’s a player who can contribute in various roles throughout our midfield, an area where we are looking to become more technically dominant throughout games.”

“He had a good schooling at Dorchester and worked with Robbie (Herrera) and Kev (Hodges) whilst there, before moving down to play for Tavistock. He showed bravery in his life at just twenty, to move away and begin a new life. He comes across as a very tuned in young man now at 23 who knows what he wants from the game.”

“I’m confident that I will be able to help bring some detail into his game, to help him develop further on the pitch.”

Everyone at the club is delighted to welcome Ben to the club and you will be able to catch him in our next league game, versus Paulton Rovers at The Winterfield Stadium (BS39 7RF) on Saturday 21st December 2024.
